Coastsweep Cleanup at Winthrop Beach

Winthrop, MA - 9/25/17 - Coastsweep Cleanup has been organizing an annual statewide beach cleanup in Massachusetts since 1978. Volunteers at the numerous event sites remove trash and debris as well as collect information on the types of debris found in order to determine their origins. The Winthrop Beach event, held adjacent to the MDR site on Winthrop Shore Drive, was sponsored by The Friends of Winthrop Beach and Massachusetts Coastal Zone Management and was held on Saturday, September 16, 2017. MDR Construction provided refreshments for the event and MDR President Mike Saccone participated in the event with his wife Connie Saccone.
